AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 19-44 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />ASSESSMENT. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 19-44 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended and reordained to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 19-44. Amount. <br /> <br /> There is hereby imposed for the Law Library Fund an <br />assessment as part of the costs incident to each civil action <br />filed in the Circuit Court, located within the boundaries of <br />the City, the sum of two dollars ($2.00), and for each civil <br />action filed in the District Courts, located within the <br />boundaries of the City, the sum of two dollars ($2.00). <br /> <br /> 2.
