AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF SUNNYSIDE AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Western Branch Diesel, Inc. has made application <br />to vacate, close and discontinue the kereinafter-described <br />portion of Sunnyside Avenue; and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted September <br />27, 1983, viewers were appointed pursuant to ~15.1~364, COde <br />of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described <br />portion of said street, and to report in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from <br />discontinuing the said street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing that in <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing <br />and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion <br />of Sunnyside Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />SUNNYSlDE' AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land <br />comprising that portion of Sunnyside Avenue <br />from Broadway Street north to the right-of-way <br />of Route 1-64 Ramp A. (S-83-13). <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth reserves <br />unto itself a perpetual easement, right and privilege to in- <br />stall, maintain and operate electric power lines over, under, <br />and across that portion of the hereinabove-named street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held November 8, 1983. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
