AN ORDINANCE TO AM~END THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 23-493, PERTAINING TO <br />MALL TRA~NSIT STREETS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 23-493 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, 1973, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 23-493. Established. <br /> <br /> For the purpose of regulating traffic pursuant to the <br />police power of the City and to insure the safety of pedes- <br />trian traffic, the following streets are hereby designated <br />mall and mall transit streets, subject to the provisions <br />of this Article: <br /> <br />MALL AND LIMITED ACCESS STREETS <br /> <br />(1) Middle Street between High Street and King Street. <br /> <br />(2) Middle Street between High Street and Queen Street. <br /> <br /> (3) King Street for a distance of three hundred fifty- <br />five (355) feet east of the center llne of Middle Street Mall <br />and two hundred thirty (230) feet west of said center line. <br /> <br />MALL TRANSIT STREETS <br /> <br />(1~ Harbor Street between Harbor Court and Water Street. <br /> <br /> 2.
