A!~ ORDi!~ANCE TO APLF~NII TEE CODE OF TEE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 23-105(c), 23-106(c), 23-308~ 23-309(b), 23-311, AND 23-392(e) THEREOF, PERTAIN- ING TO P~ALTiES FOR VIOLATIONS OF VARIOUS TRAFFIC ORDINANCES. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: That Section 23-105 (c) of ~he Code of the City of Por~.~:~u~.h, Virginiar 1973, be ~ended and reordained ~o read Section 23-105. Maximmm speed limits established, placement, removal of signs, ,signals in school zones; authority of City Manager to increase~ reduce speed limits. (c) Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and uDon conviction shall be p~nished as provided in section 23-1.i(!) of this chapter. 2. That =~' ~ ~n PortsmoutTq, Virginia, as follows: 23-t06(c) of the Code of the City of 1973, be amended and reordained to read Section 23-106. Minimmm speed restrictions. (c) Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished as provided in section 23-1.1(1) of this chapter. 3. That Section 23-308 of the Code of the City of Ports- mouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended and reordained to read as follows: Section 23-308. Driver to give immediate notice of certain accidents. The driver of any vehicle involved in any accident resulting in ln}~ry to or d=a=~ of any oersen or some person acting for him ~ ~ ~a=z LP~ediately by the quickest means of cormn~nication give notice of the accident to the police department. A wilful failure to make the report required in this section shall constitute a Class 4 Misdemeanor.
