WHEREAS~ The a ' ~ <br /> ppllcatlon of Construction Associates, Incorporated, <br />to vacate~ close and discontinue that portion of Middle Street lying north <br />of the northern rear lot lines of the North Street properties and south of <br />the Swimming Point Inlet of the Elizabeth River, has been referred to the <br />Planning ~nd Zoning Commission for investigation and report, and said <br />Commission has recommended the closing of the said portion of Middle Street, <br />and it appearing that notice of the application and request for the appoint~ <br />ment of viewers was duly posted on the first day of the term of court of the <br />Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, held on the 21st day <br />of February, 1965j on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the <br />City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth, and on a telephone pole on Middle Street opposite the Virginia <br />Electric and Power Company's substation at least five days prior to this <br />meeting: ' <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, <br />Virginia, that: <br /> <br />8E IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br />be appointed viewers to view said street and report to this Council in writing <br />whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from <br />discontinuing the aforementioned portion of ~iddle Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held March 12, 1963. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
