?~HEREAS, House Bill 189 and Senate Bill 171 authorizing the <br />establishment of s commission to celebrate the 350th anniversary of <br />constitutional government and the appropriation of necessary f%lnds to <br />support the work of said commission have been sltbmitted to the General <br />Assembly of Virginia; and <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />after careful study of said bills doth approve same: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT }{ESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that it recommends the adoption of the aforesaid <br />House Bill 189 and Senate Bill 171 by the General Assembly of Virginia. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution he <br /> forwarded to the Honorable John H, David, Chairman of the Appropria- <br /> tions Committee, House of Delegates. and to the Honorable James D. <br /> Hagood, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> <br /> at a meeting held February 8. 1966. <br /> <br /> Tests: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
