Section 1. The City Attorney is directed to <br /> <br />institute eminent domain proceedings, employing counsel for <br /> <br />that purposes against the property hereinafter described, <br /> <br />for the purpose of acquiring fee simple title therein, in <br /> <br />accordance with and pursuant to Section 23-f of the Charter <br /> <br />of the City of Portsmouth (Chapter 229 of the Acts of Assembly <br /> <br />of 1966), and to deposit to the credit of the court as pro- <br /> <br />vided by law the sum hereinafter specified to compensate the <br /> <br />alleged owners of the said property, as follows: <br /> <br />Description: <br /> <br />Lots 6, 8, 10 and 12, in Block 148, and <br />Lots 7, 8, 9, 13, 17 and 19, in Block 33, <br />as shown on the plat of subdivision into <br />lots of the land of'the Virginia Realty <br />and Investment Company, duly recorded in <br />Map Book 7, pages 98, 99 and 100, in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of <br />the City of Chesapeake (formerly Norfolk <br />County). <br /> <br />Owners: <br /> <br />Mrs. Fern Msttade, Mrs. Beverly Rayburn, <br />Mrs. Darlene Champlin, Mrs. Nettie Thompson, <br />and Unknown Owners, who may be described as <br />all other persons who may be consorts, heirs, <br />lien creditors, or assigns of Henry Mattade <br />and F. W. Thompson, said to have died in <br />California. <br /> <br />Compensation-. <br /> <br />The amount to be deposited with the Clerk is <br />$765.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
