Any person whose name_has been submitted for-.~can- didacy by any such petition, shall file/~nis ac~ceptance of such candidacy with the Clerk of the Hustings Court of said City at least sikty days previous to the date of such election~ ~ otherwise his ~mme shall no~ appear on the ballot. Compensatmon of the Mayor and Council. The City Council, out of the general ~unds of the city, shall grant and pay to the mayor the sura of two hundred and fifty dollars per month and to the other me,vfoers of the cit~ council the sum of two hundred dollars oer month each.
