A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY <br />LOCATED IN PINNERS POINT ~D THE VIRGINIA STATE PORTS AUthORITY <br />TO BE USED FOR T~']E EXPANSION OF PORTS~DUTH MARINE <br /> <br /> ~, the City of Portsmouth and the Virginia State <br />Ports Authority entered into a certain Port Facility Contract, <br />dated June 1, 1966, for the construction, of Portsmouth M~rine <br />Tern~nal; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the expanSion <br />of Portsmouth Marine Terminal; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Virginia State Ports <br />Authority to hold title to the land before it may provide <br />financial assistance for such expansion: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of PortsmouTh, Virginia, that the City ~,immager is hereby <br />authorized, in the name of and on behalf of the City, to execute <br />and deliver to the Virginia State Ports Authority a deed of <br />customary fora conveying to the Authority the following described <br />property, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to affix the <br /> <br />corporate seat of the City thereto and to attest the same: <br /> <br /> Parcel 1. Ali that certain lot, piece or ps~'cel <br />of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, and further described as follows, to- <br />wit: Beginning at the point at which the boundary line <br />divi~mg the property of the City of Ports~ou6h. and the <br />land now or formerly belonging to the Lehigh Portland <br />Cement Co,any intersects the Northerly right-of-way <br />line of Seaboar~ Avenue, and thence rurming North 4° <br />39' 00" West 839.85 feet to a point; thence North 4° <br />39' 00" West 251.18 feet to a point; .thence North 79° <br />47' 05" East 904.26 feet to a point; thence South 4° <br />39' 00" Fast 251.18 feet to a point; thence South 4° <br />39' 00" East 600 feet to a point;thence South 84° 5~' <br />20" West 750.4 feet to a point; thence South 4° 39' <br />00" East 319.52 feet to a point in the Northerly right- <br />of-way line of Seaboard Avenue; thence South 84° 50' 21" <br /> <br /> <br />
