A RESOLUTION G?~TING A U~E PE~IT FOR THE CON- STRUCTION OF ~ ADDITION ~/'D THE OPERATION T~I~EREOF FOR A NURSL-~'G HO~ ON ARMISTEAD DRIVE. UP-69-7. WHEREAS, the William T. Hall Memorial Convalescent Hcme has made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as herein- after described; and WHEREAS, the applicant, the Planning Director and the City ~nager have done all things required to be done in connection with said application, and the Planning Commission has recc~mended that the grant- Lug of said use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. NOW, ~HE, BE iT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or ,work- ing in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or i~p. rovements in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the purposes of said Zoning Ordinance. That the William T. Hall ?4emoriai Convalescent Home. is hereby granted a use permit subject ~o site plan restrictions, pursuant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance, for the construction and operation of an addition to a nursing ~ud convalescent home located on the property described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south ri~t of way line of Armistead Drive 'which point is approxi~mtely 135 feet east of the intersection of said rig~nt of way line and the projection of the center line of Dahlia Street, north; thence south 118 feet; thence west along a rear proper~y line 295 feet; thence north 118 feet to the south right of way line of Armi- stead Drive; thence east along said line 295 feet to the point of origin.
