A RESOLUfION GRA/ClS~G A USE F~4IT FOR THE EXPANSION <br />~ OPERA_7~ON 0F AN AUT0~iflvE ~VICE STATION AT THE <br />CORNER OF HIGH STR~i' AND ELM AVENUE, UP 69-1. <br /> <br /> ~HE~EAS, Petroleum Service Company by James G. Luster has made <br />application purs~ut to Section ~-2 of the Zoning Ordinauce of the City <br />of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use pe~t as hereinafter <br />described, aud <br /> <br /> WH~HEAS, the applicant, the Planning Df~ector and the City Manager <br />have done ~1] things required to be done in connection with said application, <br />and the Plar~ Co~amIssion has reomrmended the granting of said use permit, <br />subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. <br /> <br /> NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />That the use for which the use permit hereinafter <br />described is sought (1) will not adversely affect <br />the health or safety of persons residing or work- <br />ing in the neighborheod of the proposed use, _(2) <br />w~]] not be detrimental to the public welfare or <br />injurious to property or improvements in the neigh- <br />borhood, and (3) will be in accord with the purpo~ ses <br />of said Zoning Orddr~nce. <br /> <br />That Petroleum Service Company is hereby granted a <br />use permit, subject to site plan restrictions, pur- <br />suant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance, for <br />the expansion and operation of an 8xisting automo- <br />tive service station located on the property des- <br />cribed as follo,~s: <br /> <br />Beginning at the northeast corner of High Street and <br />Elm Avenue; thence north 186 feet to a point; thence <br />east 100 feet; thence south 73 feet; thence east 75 <br />feet; thence south 113 feet to the north line of High <br />Street; thence west 175 feet to the point of origin. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a n~eting held on Janus~y 28, 1969. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
