GENERAL OBLiGATiON BOb~S AUTHORIZED BY A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRG!NIAA, ON'NOV.,m~IBER 11, 1969; FIXING CERTAIN DETAILS O~F SAID BO.NOS; AN]) DJZiEb~!NG SAID P~SOLUTiON ADOPTED I~OV~E~R I1, 1~69. 7% WHE ~REAS, the gity Manager of.the City of Portsmouth has received a proposal from the Fidelity National Bank~ Lynchburg, Virginia for the purchase of Ten Million Dollars of General Obligation Bonds authorized by the Resolution of the Council of the City of Portsmouth adopted November il, 1969 as entitled, "A .RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF TEN MILLION DOLlaRS ($10,000,000) GENERAL O~LiGATtON BO~S OF T~ CITY O~ PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FU~S FOR TF~ CONSTRUCTION OF SCHO0~, C~RTAIN OTF~R PUBLIC ~UI!~DIN~, AND STREETS; FOR' UtL~AN REN~AL PUP~OSES; A~$ TO PAY CERTAIN ANNE~RTtON COSTS PURSUANT TO THE O~ER ENTERED IN THE CIRCUIT CHESAPEAKE~ VIRGINIA, ON OCTOBER 2 1967 COURT OF THE CiTY QF ' ~ , A~EXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, EFFECYIVE JANUARY 1, 1968; AND M~K!NG PROVISION FOR THE FO~4 OF SAID BONDS AND FOR TF~ PAYMENT THEP~OFTM, and the City Manager has recozmmended that said proposal be approved; N~{ TB~RE~ORm, BE IT P~SOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: ._ 1.
