A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PEP~IT FOR THE OPERATI~W <br />OF AN Ab~OMOTIVE S~RVICE STATION ON THE SO~TH SIDE <br />OF PORTSMOUTH BOUIEVARD ~ST OF ITS INTERSECTION <br />WiTH TURNPIKE ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~bbil Oil Corporation~has made an application pursuant <br />to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, <br />for the granting of a use,permit as hereinafter described; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS~ the applicant and the Planning Director have done all <br />thing~ req~ir.ed to be done in connection with said application, and the ~ <br />P. lanning Cmmmmssion has reco~r~mended the granting of said use Permit, sub~ <br />Ject to the conditions hereinafter s~tated. ~ t <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CoUncil of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> . A. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described <br />n~s sought (1) will not ~versely affect the health Or safety of persons <br />residing or working in th_.nei~borho0d~ of the p~oposed use, (2) will not'~ <br />be detrLmental to the public W$1fare or injurious to property or improve-. <br />ments in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord ~ith th~ Purposes of <br />said Zoning Ordinance° <br /> <br />B. That the 5~obil Oil Corporation is hereby granted a USe Der- <br />mit: subje.ct to site plan restrictions, pUrSuant to Secti°n ~-2 of said~ <br />Zor~ Ordinance, for the operationlof au'~automotive Service 'station lo- <br />cated on the property described as ~follows: · - <br /> <br /> Be~Inning at a point on the southern right Of way <br />tine of Portsmouth Boulevard ~ch said point is 350 · <br />feet, more or less, West-of the eastern corner of the <br />intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Turnpike <br />Road; thence running South a distance' of 180 feet, <br />more or less, to a point; thence running West a dis- <br />tance of 200 feet, more or less, to a point; thence <br />running North along ~he eastern right of way line of <br />the proposed shopping center road along ~the arc of a <br />curve to the right whose radiu~ is 322 feet a dis- <br />tance of 1~6 feet, more or less, to a point; thence <br />runnirg East along said southern right of way line <br />of Portsmouth Boulevard a distance of 150 feet, more <br />or less, to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> C.
