52 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CO~ING BINFORD M. HUTCHINE <br />FOR HIS SERVICE ON THE SCHOOL BOARD OF <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHE~, Binford M. Hutchins has served on the School Board <br />of the City of Portsmouth for fourteen years, including service as <br />Vice-Ch~man for the past.eight years; and <br /> WHEREAS, this service demanded a greab deal of tin~ and ~f- <br />fort, involving n~ch personal sacrifice and inconvenience; and <br /> <br /> WH~a~S, the period of his service has seen tremendous ex- <br />pansion and many improvements in the Portsmouth Public School System. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOBE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the appreciation of the citizens of <br />this City be hereby expressed to the said Binford M. Hutchins for <br />the long and valuable service rendered by him as a member of the <br />School Board of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER .RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of the City Council and that a copy be pre- <br />sented to Binford M.
