RESOLUTION CO~NDING MRS. A. P. <br />FOR HER S~VICE ON THE SCHOOL BOARD OF <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br />51 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mrs. A. P. Hopewell has served on the School Board <br />of .the City of Portsmouth for six years; and <br /> <br /> ~ WHEREAS, this service demanded a great deal of time and ef- <br />fort, involving much persons2 sacrifice and inconvenience; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the period of her sea~¢ice has Been tremendous ex- <br />pansion and many improvements in the Portsmouth Public School Systam. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the appreciation of the citizens of <br />this City be hereby expressed to ~rs. A. P. Hopewell for the Lv.mortant <br />service ~endered by her as a member of the School Board of the City of <br />Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOL~ that a copy of this resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of the City Council mud that a copy be pre- <br />sented to Y~s. A. P.
