That au app!icat.ion be made tO the Depar~r~nt of Housing and <br />~rban Development for a grant in an awomut authorized by Title VII~ of the <br />HousLug Act of 1961, as smended, which amount is presently estimated to be <br />-$96,032-00, and that the Applics-ut ~iI1 pay the balance of the cost from <br />· other ~f~n~s avamtable to it. <br /> <br /> 2. That adequate open-space land for the locality cs_nnot effective- <br />ly be ~rovided through the use of existing undeveloped or predominantly un- <br />deveIoped land. <br /> <br /> 3. SToat the City M~nager is hereby authorized and directed to exe- <br />cute and to file such application ~th the Department of Housirg and Urban <br />Development,~ to provide additional information and to furnish such documents <br />as may be required by said Department~ to execute such contracts as are re- <br />quired by said Department, and to act as the authorized correspondent of <br />the Applicant. <br /> <br /> ~. That the proposed acquisition and development is in accordance <br />with plar~ f6r the allocation of land for open-space uses~ s_nd that~ should <br />said grant be made, the Applicsnt will acquire, develop, and retain said land <br />for the use(s) designated in said application and approved by the Dep~ent <br />of Housing aqd Urban Development. <br /> <br /> 5. ~nat the United States of America and the Secretary of Housing <br />and Urbs_~ Development be, ~nd they hereby are, assured of full cor~pli~nce by <br />the Applics2nt with regulations of the Depar~aent of Housiog siqd Urban Develop- <br />m~nt effectuating Title ~ of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br /> <br /> 6.
