A ~LUTION GP~NTLNG A USE PERMIT FOR THE 0PERATI@~ <br /> OF AN AL~O~OTIVE ~2WICE STATION ON 'VICTORY BOULE- <br />~-VARD, UP-70-4. <br /> <br /> WHERF~, George W. Kittrell has made an application pursuant <br />-to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsr~0uth, 1961, <br />for the grantirg of a use penr~t as hereinafter described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the P!annirg Director ha.v.e done <br />aT] things required to be done in connectioh ~ith. said app.licatmon, and <br />t~e Planning Commission has recon~aended the granting of said use permit <br />subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Port s~outh, Virginia; <br /> <br />Ae <br /> <br />That the use for which the use permit hereinafter <br />described is sought (1) will not adversely affect <br />the health or safety of persons residing or work- <br />fang in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) <br />will not be detrimental to the public welfare or <br />injurious to property or improvements in the <br />neig~hborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the <br />purposes of said Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />%teat George W. Kittrell is hereby grsnted a use <br />permit for the operation of an automotive service <br />station upon the hereir~fter described property <br />subject to site plan restrictions and subject to <br />the requirement that he provide and ~ ntain a <br />planting screen of Lombardy Poplar or similar <br />vegetation, at least ten feet iu height, and <br />to be planted along the rear lot line of the <br />parcel of land described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning on the sOUth side of Victory Boulevard <br />approximately 659 feet southeast from t~ intersection- <br />of Gust Lane and Victory Boulevard; thence rurming south- <br />east along Victory Boulevard 130 feet; thence southwest <br />202 feet to a line; thenc~ northwest al~ a line 127-'feet; <br />thence northeast 172 feet to the point of origin. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the COuncil of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held January 27, 1970. <br /> <br />Teste'. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
