A RESOLUTION GRANTZ~G A USE PEEMIT FOR 'THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOT/VE SERVY~E STATION ON BROAD' Si'HEET, 9 WHEEEAS, Warren Holland has ~ade an application pursuant to Section ~-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City. of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the applicsnt s~nd the Plamni~g Director have done all th~ required to be done in connection with said application, and the ?lanoing Commission has recon~ended the granting of said use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; . : That the use for which the use per~dt hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or work- ing in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) w~l] not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or ~-.~provements in the neighborhood~ and (3) will be in'accord ~th the purposes of said'Zoning OrdLuauce. That Warren Holland is hereby granted a use permit for the operation of an automotive service station upon the hereinafter described property, subject to site plan restrictions and subject to the re- quirement that 'he provide mud ~tain a planting screen in the fora of a ha~dge along the sides and rear of the property described below at such points where the said property abuts upon any property in a Residential Zoning District.
