A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PE~IIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND THE OPEP~TION OF A HOSPITAL LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF CRAWFORD PARK- WAY AND EFFINGH~¥! STREET. UP 71-6. WHEREAS, Medic Home Enterprises has made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the applicant, the Planning Director and the City Manager have done all things required to be done mn connection with said application, and the Planning Commission has considered the granting of said use permit, subject to the conditions here- inafter stated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or work- ing in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood, and (3) will be mn accord with the purposes of said Zoning Ordinance. That Medic Home Enterprises, Inc. is hereby granted a use permit subject to site plan re- strictions, pursuant to Section 4-2 of said Zon- ing Ordinance, for the construction and operation of a hospital located on the property described as follows: BEGIi~NING at the southwest corner of Crawford Parkway and Effingham Street; thence southerly along Effingham Stree~ approximately 495 feet; thence northwest approximately I2~ feet to the property line of Cedar Grove Cemetery; thence westerly along said line approximately 235 feet to Fort Lane; thence northerly along Fort Lane approximately 541 feet to Crawford Parkway; thence easterly along Crawford Parkway approximately 657 feet to Effingham Street, the point of beginning.
