A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE APPLICATION FOR AN URBAN ASSISTANCE <br />INCENTIVE FUND GRANT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth requires a comprehen- <br />sive human services data information system in order to assist <br />it in efficiently administering its human services programs; <br />and <br /> <br /> ?~EREAS, Federal and State funds ~are available to aid <br />in the development of such a comprehensive human services data <br />information system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services has, with <br />the approval of the City Manager, made application for such <br />funds. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that it fully realizes the need <br />for such human services data information system and that it, <br />therefore, strongly endorses the above-referenced application. <br /> <br /> BE IT FDRTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmou~-h, Virginia, that it strongly urges that such applica- <br />tion be given favorable consideration and approval by the State <br />Department of Welfare and Institutions. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held August 8, 1972. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
