42 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NC. 1 TO THE REDEVELOPME~ PLAN <br />FOR THE NORTHSIDE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, VA. R-39, ADOPTED BY <br />THE PORTS~OUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth by Resolu- <br />tion adopted August 9, 1966, approved the Redevelopment Plan for <br />the Northside Redevelopment Project, No. 1, Va. R-39, Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, adopted by the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Au- <br />thority; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, by resolution duly adopted July 25, 1972, said <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority adopted Amendment <br />No. 1 to the said Plan and has requested the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth to approve said amendment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said amendment has been carefully reviewed, <br />and it appears that the said Redevelopment Plan, as amended, con- <br />forms to the general plan for development of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, as a whole~ and <br /> <br /> ~/LEREAS, in the judgment of the Council of <br />Portsmouth it is in the.~interest of the City and its <br />that the said Amendment be approved; <br /> <br />the City of <br />inhabitants <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that said Redevelopment Plan, as <br />amended, dated August, 1972, for the aforementioned Project, <br />having been duly reviewed and considered is hereby approved; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and is <br />hereby directed to file copy of Redevelopment Plan with the minutes <br />of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held August 8, 1972. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
