A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~NAGER TO SELL CERTAIN SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY LOCATED AND FRO~TING ON WASHINGTON STREET AND CP~W- FORD PARKWAY NEAR THE SOUTHEASTERN INTERSECTION OF SAID STREETS f~qD TO ACCEPT THEREFOR THE BID OF PORTSMOUTH ELDERLY HOUSING, INCORPORATED. WHEREAS, the hereinafter described er necessary for City use and is, therefore, surplus; and property is no long- declared to be WHEREAS, the City desires to sell ss~e; and WHEREAS, the sale of said property has been duly ad- vertised and bids have been received in accordance with Section 2.09(b) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth; and WHEREAS, two bids (copies of which are attached hereto) were submitted in response to said advertisement of sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City Qf Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to sell the following described property: Ail that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate zn the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, bounded and described as follows: BEGInnING at a point on the eastern right of way line of Washington Street, distant 105', more or less northerly from the northeast intersection of Washington Street and Hampton Place; thence runnmng northerly along said eastern right of way line of Washington Street 258.5', more or less, to a point; thence run- ning easterly and perpendicular to Washington Street 90', more or less, to a point; thence running northerly and parallel to Washington Street 77.5', more or less, to a point on the southern right of way line of Crawford Parkway; thence running easterly along said southern right of way line of Crawford Parkway 270', more or less, to a point on the intersection of said southern right of way line and the western right of way line of Dinwiddie Street extended; thence running southerly along said western right of way line of Dinwiddie Street 125', more or less, to a point; thence running westerly and parallel to Hampton Place 100', more or less, to a point; thence running south~ erly and parallel to Dinwiddie Street 184.5',
