61 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF SUMMIT <br />AVENUE LOCATED BETWEEN PEACH STREET AND CHESTNUT STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the American Legion Post 190 and David L. <br />Green have made application to vacate and close the herein- <br />after described portion of a certain street and it appearing <br />that notice of the application and request for the appoint- <br />ment of viewers was duly posted on October 10, 1972, on the <br />bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Ports- <br />mouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City <br />of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the Municipal Court, <br />Civil Division of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Louis <br />J. Leitner, L. A. Clark, Zalmon I. Blachman and F. J. Bergeron <br />be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion <br />of such street'and report to this Council in writing whether <br />in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would re- <br />sult from vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southwestern corner of lot <br /> nulnber one hundred twenty three (123); thence <br /> running in a easterly direction parallel to <br /> Summit Avenue (formerly Gayle Avenue) along <br /> the southern boundaries of lots numbers one <br /> hundred twenty three (123), one hundred twenty <br /> four (124), one hundred twenty five (125), <br /> one hundred twenty six (126), one hundred twenty <br /> seven (127), one hundred twenty eight (128), <br /> and one hundred twenty nine (129). Two hundred <br /> ten (210) feet to the southeastern corner of <br /> lot number one hundred twenty nine (129): thence <br /> in a southerly direction to the northeastern <br /> corner of lot number one hundred forty three <br /> (143); thence in a westerly direction parallel <br /> to Summit Avenue two hundred ten (210) f~et <br /> to the northwestern corner of lot number one <br /> hundred fifty (150); thence in a northerly dir- <br /> ectio~ to the point of beginning. It being the <br /> same property which was designated as Gayte <br /> Avenue (now Summit Avenue) on the plat of <br /> "~agruder's Addition to the City of Portsmouth," <br /> dated January 5, 1892 and duly recorded in the <br /> Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City <br /> of Chesapeake, Virginia in Map Book 3, at page <br /> 5. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> <br /> <br />
