A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF A <br />TWENTY FOOT ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN GREENWOOD DRIVE AND BARCLAY <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Geraldine I~arris, H. E. Wheatley and Margaret <br />Wheatley have made application to vacate and close the herein- <br />after described portion of a certain alley and it appearing <br />that notice of the application and request for the appoint- <br />men~ of viewers was duly posted on October 10, 1972, on the <br />bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Ports- <br />mouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City <br />of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the Municipal Court, <br />Civil Division of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Louis <br />J. Leitner, L. A. Clark, Zalmon I. Blachman and F. J. Bergeron <br />be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion <br />of such alley and report to this Council in writing whether <br />in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would re- <br />sult from vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> That certain alley, twenty (20) feet in width, <br />situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, de- <br />signated as a portion of Fifth Street, lying be- <br />tween Lot 2, Block J, as shown on the plat of <br />Garden Homes, recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, for- <br />merly Norfolk County, Virginia in Map Book 21, <br />pages 68 and 69, and Lot 14, Block H, of said <br />Garden Homes, extending from the south line of <br />Greenwood Drive southward to the north line of <br />Barclay (formerly Rose) Avenue, a distance of <br />two hundred seventeen (217) feet. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held October 24, 1972. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
