A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF A TWENTY FOOT ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN GREENWOOD DRIVE AND BARCLAY AVENUE. WHEREAS, Geraldine I~arris, H. E. Wheatley and Margaret Wheatley have made application to vacate and close the herein- after described portion of a certain alley and it appearing that notice of the application and request for the appoint- men~ of viewers was duly posted on October 10, 1972, on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Ports- mouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the Municipal Court, Civil Division of the City of Portsmouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Louis J. Leitner, L. A. Clark, Zalmon I. Blachman and F. J. Bergeron be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such alley and report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would re- sult from vacating and closing the following: That certain alley, twenty (20) feet in width, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, de- signated as a portion of Fifth Street, lying be- tween Lot 2, Block J, as shown on the plat of Garden Homes, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, for- merly Norfolk County, Virginia in Map Book 21, pages 68 and 69, and Lot 14, Block H, of said Garden Homes, extending from the south line of Greenwood Drive southward to the north line of Barclay (formerly Rose) Avenue, a distance of two hundred seventeen (217) feet.
