A R~SOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A JOINT <br />AGREEmeNT WITH NEIGHBORING CITIES CONCERNING THE TENPIN PROJECT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 15.1-21 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, <br />as amended, allows political subdivisions to enter into joint <br />agreements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir~ <br />glnia, deems it necessary to enter into such an agreement for <br />the purpose of providing an exchange of data on wanted persons, <br />persons on probation and parole, persons under Surveillance, <br />and stolen articles, and further to con%pliment the Virginia <br />Criminal Information Network (V-CIN), such project to be known <br />as the TENPIN project. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED kY the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain terms and condi- <br />tions of an agreement as attached hereto between the cities of <br />Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Nanse- <br />mond, Newport News, Hampton and Williamsburg relating to the <br />TENPIN system are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that th~ City Manager is hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute said agreement. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held June 12, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
