3~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PORTSMOUTH'S APPLICATION FOR RECERTIFI- <br />CATION OF ITS WORKABLE PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, application must be made to the U. S. De- <br />partment of Housing and urban Development for recertification <br />of Portsmouth's Workable Program for Community improvement; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, such recertification is necessary for Ports- <br />mouth to remain eligible for funds under various federal aid <br />programs; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ~f the <br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the application f~r zecerti- <br /> fication of Portsmouth's Workable Program for Community Improve- <br /> ment, as prepared by the City Manager, is hereby approved. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager s au- <br /> thorized and directed to do all that is necessary to secure <br /> the recertification of said program by the Department o~ Housing <br /> and urban Development. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginia, at a meeting held May 8, 1973. <br /> Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
