A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE AND RE- <br />CEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNHD PROPERTY (LAKE KILBY TRACT). <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth currently owns a <br />parcel of land lying partly in the City of Nansemond and part- <br />ly in the City of Suffolk, which parcel of land comprises ap- <br />proximately 5.5 acres adjacent to Lake Kilby; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this certain parcel of land is more fully <br />described and defined on that plat entitled "Property to be <br />Disposed of by Portsmouth Water Department, City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia% Lakeview Heights, Suffolk, Virginia" dated May 28, <br />1962, said plat being on file in the office of the City Mana- <br />ger; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the land is no longer needed for the public <br />use of the City of Portsmouth and is, therefore, declared to <br />be surplus property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is authorized to advertise and receive bids for the here- <br />inabove described property on such terms and subject to such <br />minimum bid restrictions as he may deem proper. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held ~arch i9, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
