L RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TPLE CITY M~ANAGER TO ACCEPT THE BID <br />OF PRENTIS PARK CONGREGATION OF JEbiOVAH'S WITNESSES, FOPd4E?.LY <br />DO~TO~RJ CONGREGATION OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, TO PURC~uJASE <br />CERTAIN CITY-OW~.~ED PROPERTY (JEFFEMSON .~Tw?~ LOT}. <br /> <br /> WHERV~AS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October ~, 1973 resoive~ <br />authorize the City ~ana9er to advertise for sale certain <br />City-o~.ed property hereinafter described; <br /> <br /> W~R~AS, the City Manager has caused the said <br />property to be advertised upon certain terms in accordance <br />with the aforesaid resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Prentis Park Congregation of Jehovah's <br />Witnesses, formerly Downto=~ Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, <br />has submitted a bid in response to said advertisement, such <br />bid being the minimum bid stated and being ~ne only bid re- <br />ceived. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City ~4anacer be <br />and he hereby is authorized to accept the bid of Prentis <br />Par~ Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, formerly Do~to'~ <br />Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, for the followinq d~- <br />scribed property. <br /> <br /> That certain lot of land situate in the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and kno%~ and <br />designated as Lot Number One [1) in block <br />thirty-eight (38) on the plan of Brighton, <br />recorded in the Clerk's Office of Norfolk <br />County, Virginia, in Map Book 21 at page 34. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held December 18, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
