A P~ESOLU~ION AUThORIzING 'I'HE CITY ~,IANAGER TO ADV~R_~Im~ A~ RE- <br />CEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWi~ED PROPERTY (RESIDUAL PARCELS OF <br />ELMEURST LANE EXTENDED). <br /> <br /> .~R~AS~ %he C~t} o~ ~^~ ~ ~:e~ <br />several parcels of land located on the north si6e of E!mJ~'urst <br />Lane Extended (formerly Spivey Street); and <br /> <br /> WP~REAS, the several parcels are more fully identified <br />as a part of the existing right of way for Spivey Stree~ adjacent <br />to the property of Pilot Freight Company as sho~n on Tax Plate <br />565, on file in the Office of the City Assessor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said parcels are residual pieces which will <br />not be utilized in the construction of Elmhurst Lane Extended; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has no ~ur~.~r need <br />for said parcels and they are, therefore, surplus property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids for the <br />hereinabove described property on such terms and subject to <br />such minimu~bid restrictions as he may deem proper. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held December 18, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
