~ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~LANAGER TO EXECUTE A JOINT <br />~GREE~.~ENT WITH NEIGHBORING POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS CONCER~NING <br />THE TF~NPIN PROJECT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 15.1-21 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, <br />as amended, allows political subdivisions to enter into joint <br />agreementS; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of theCity of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, deems it necessary to enter into such anaqreement for <br />the purpose of providing an exchange of data on wanted persons, <br />persons on probation and paroles persons undersurveil!ance, <br />and stolen articles, and furtherto compliment the Virginia <br />Criminal Information Network (V-CIN), such projectto be known <br />as the TENPIN project. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, virginia, that the certain terms and condi- <br />tions of an agreement as attached hereto between the cities of <br />Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Nanse- <br />mond, Newport News, Hampton and Williamsburg and the county of <br />York relating to the TENPIN system are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to execute said agreement. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginia, at a meeting held October 23, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
