A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE BID OF PORTSMOUTH TErmINALS, INC., TO PURCHASE CERTAIN CITY-O?~ED PRO- PERTY (CAROLINA AVENUE LOTS). WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, at a meeting held July 24, 1973 resolved ~o authorize the City Manaqer to advertise for sale certain City-owned property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has caused the said property to be advertised upon certain terms in accordance with the afore- said resolution; and WHEREAS. Portsmouth Terminals, Inc., has submitted a bid in response to said advertisement, such bid being equal to the minimum bid stated and being the only bid received. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is authorized to accept the bid of Portsmouth Terminals, Inc., for the following described property. All those certain lots or parcels of land lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, which are known and numbered as Lots 153, 155, 157, 167, 169, 171 and 173 on the plat of the Portsmouth Water Front Land Com- pany duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake (formerly Norfolk County), Uirginia, in Map Book 3, at page 91. The said Lots 153, 155, and 157 comprising Rarcel No. 47 on Tax Plate 106, and Lots 167, 169, 171 and 173 comprising Parcel No. 44 on the aforesaid Tax Plate which is on file in the Office of the City Assessor, Portsmouth, Virginia. ~ND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to complete all transactions and execute all documents incident to such conveyance.
