A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE AND RE- <br />CEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY (CAROLINA AVENUE <br />LOTS). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns several <br />lots located in the Pinners Point area and situate on the north <br />side of Carolina Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, the said lots are designated as Lots 153, <br />155, 157, 167, 169, 171, and 173 on the plat of the Portsmouth <br />Water Front Land Company, which is duly recorded in the Office <br />of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake <br />(formerly Norfolk County)., in Map Book 3, at page 91; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said property is further identified as <br />Parcel 44 (Lots 167, 169, 171 and 173) and Parcel 47 (Lots 153, <br />155, and 157) on Tax Plate 106, on file in the Office of the <br />City assessor, Portsmouth, Virginia; and <br /> WHEREAS, the said land is no longer needed by the <br />City of Portsmouth and it is, therefore, declared to be surplus <br />property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the <br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br /> hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids for the <br /> hereinabove described property on such terms and subject to <br /> such minimum bid restrictions as he may deem proper. <br /> Adopted by the Council of 'the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginia, at a meeting held July 24, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
