A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CITY-OWNED PROPERTYTO THE PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY (SOUTH STREET JIB PARCEL). WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth desires to convey to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority a certain jib parcel which is hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the said parcel is no longer needed by the City of Portsmouth and is surplus property; and WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority desires this land to be incorporated into an adjoin- ing tract of land already owned by said Authority; and WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth will be compensated for this property by the awarding of a cash credit in the amount of Fourteen Hundred Twenty-five and 00/100 ($1425.00) Dollars, which credit shall be applied in partial fulfillment of the City's ob- ligation to support the Crawford Urban Renewal Project (VA. R-53). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey the hereinafter d~scribed pro- perty to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority and to perform all acts and execute all documents incident to such conveyance: Beginning at the northeastern right of way intersection of Middle Street and the proposed northern right of way of the new Crawford Con- nector; thence N 86°36'35'' E a distance of 25.25' to a point of curvature along the pro- posed northern right of way line of the new Crawford Connector; thence along the proposed northern right of way line of the new Craw- ford Connector being a curve to the left hav- ing a radius of 340.00' and an arc length of 76.87' to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along the proposed northern right of way line of the new Crawford Connector being a curve to the left having a radius of 340.00' and an arc length of 93.54' to a point on the southern right of way line of South St=eet; thence along the existing southern right of way line of South Street S 87°10'15'' w a dis- tance of 86.33' to a point; thence S 2°49'45'' E a distance of 34.12' to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
