H~S_JG ~PHONn ~m~ EQUIPMENT (UP-74-4 } ~ ~{EREAS, the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone ComPany of Virginia has made a ~ ~ -~ ~ n =pp=~ca~o~ pursuant to Section 40-~7 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia~ 1973~ for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; WHER~AS~ the applicant and the Piercing Director have done ali things required to be done in connection with said application, and the Planning Commission has reco_~.~mend~d the granting of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia: A. That the use for ~vhich the use permit hereinafter described is sought (I) ~il! no= adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or working iD_ the neighborhood of the proposed use~ (2) will not be detrimental to the public ~elfare or injurious to property or improvised, ts in the neighborhood~ and (3) ~il! be in accord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. B. That the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company of Virginia is hereby granted a use permit~ subject to site plan restrictions~ pursuant to Section 40-67 of the City Code~ for the construction apJd operation of a station housing telephone s~itching equiD- ment located on the property described a~ follows: Beginning on the west side of Hodges Ferry Road approximately 590 feet souse of its southwest intersection with Portsmouth Bouievard~ thence westerly approximately 300 feet to the property line of the Cen- tral Christian Academy; thence southerly along said line approximately 160 feet; thence easterly along the property line of the American Lodge ~330 approxi~gte!y 270 feet to the south right of way line
