2O <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CiTY MAi'lAGER TO LEASE CITY O~ED <br />PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE. <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the United States Postal Service desires to <br />lease that portion of the premises owned by the City of Ports- <br />mouth and known and designated as 30 Prospect Parkway, Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, now housing the Cradock Branch of the Ports- <br />mouth Public Library, for the purpose of housing the Cradock <br />Station Postal Facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cradock Branch of the Portsmouth Public <br />Library is moving to new quarters and the City of Portsmouth <br />has no other need for such premises; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth is of <br />the opinion that it would be to the interest of the City to <br />lease said premises for the purpose provided above. <br /> <br /> ~OW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth~ Virginia~ that the terms and conditions of <br />that certain lease agreement, as attached hereto, between the <br />United States Postal Service and the City of Portsmouth are <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virgznza, that the City Manager De and he hereby is <br />authorized to execute all documents and complete all trans- <br />actions incident to said agreement. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ <br />Virginia, at a meeting held March 12, 1974. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
