<br />A RESOLUTI0~N AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE A~.q3 RE-
<br />CEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY (PtNNERS P '~
<br /> OI~T LOTS).
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Df Portsmouth presently owns several
<br />lots located in the Pinners Point area and said lots are more
<br />fully described as follows:
<br />
<br /> ~arcel 1
<br />
<br /> Ail those certain lots or parcelsof land lying
<br /> and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, which
<br /> are bounded on the north by Carolina Avenue, on the
<br /> south by a line running parallel to and one hundred
<br /> feet distant from Carolina Avenue on the west by
<br /> Page Street, and On the east by the western right
<br /> of way line of Serpell Avenue as e~tended south-
<br /> ward, and are known and n~mhered as Lots 205~ 206,'
<br /> 207, 208 on the plat of the Pinners Point Water
<br /> Front Company, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office
<br /> of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake (for-
<br /> merly Norfolk County), Virginia, in Map Boo~ 4, at
<br /> page 32, and also Lots 334, 241, 247, 253, 255, and
<br /> the western half of Lot 257, more or !ess, as the
<br /> interest of lessor may appear, as shown on the Plat
<br /> of the Portsmouth Water Front Land Company, duly re-
<br /> corded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Map Book
<br /> 3, at page 91.
<br /> Parcel 2
<br /> Ail those certain lots or parcets of land, lying
<br />and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, which
<br />are bounded on the north by Carolina Avenue, on the
<br />south by Southern Avenue, on the west by Hill Avenue,
<br />and on the east by Page Street, and are known and
<br />numbered as Lots 185, 186, 187, 188, 196, 197, 212,
<br />213, 214, 215, 220, 221, 222, 223, 228, 229, 230,
<br />231~ 232, 233, 234, 235, 236 and 237 as Shown on
<br />the plat of the Pinners Point ~ater Front Company
<br />duly recorded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Map
<br />Book 4, at page 32; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the said land is no longer needed by the City
<br />of Portsmouth and it is, therefore, declared to be surplus pro-
<br />perty.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
<br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he
<br />hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids for the
<br />hereinabove described property on such terms and subject to
<br />such minimum bid restrictions as he may deem proper.
