A RESOLUTION CONMiTTING THE CiTY OF PORTSMOUTH TO PAY ONE-Ti~IRD <br />OP TEE SALARIES OF TNE JAIL PHYSiSiAN~ REGISTERED NURSES AND <br />P~L1NIrk~CEUTiO~ COSTS~ WiTH TNE CO2~,}ONY~ALTH OF VIRGINIA PAYING <br />THE RENsI!NING BALANCE !N COMPLIANC~ Wi~Ni NOPd~L PROCEDURES, AU- <br />THORIZING THE CITY NsINAGER TO DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO P~ET <br />SAID C O?2~ITMENT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide adequate medical <br />services to iD=mates of the Portsmouth City Jail~ <br /> <br /> NOW, TREREFORE~ BE IT RESOLAZED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City comx~its to paying <br />one-third of the salaries of the Jail Physician, two registered <br />nurses and pharmaceutical costs~ with the Co~lonwealth of Vir- <br />ginia paying the remaining balance in compliance with normal <br />procedures. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is <br />%horized to do whatever is necessary to meet said commitment. <br /> <br /> Adopted by_ the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ <br />Virginia, at a meeting held January 1~, ±~75. <br /> <br />Testa: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
