3O <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING Tt~ VIRGINIA DEPAR~4ENT OF HIGtM~YS <br />AND TRANSPORTATION TO PLACE T~ CONSIDERATION OF THE ~ST <br />NORFOLK BRIDGE AS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY I~ THE ALLOCATION OF <br />· HIG~FAY CONSTRUCTION FU~S FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1975-76. <br /> <br /> WheREAS, the Virginia Department of Highways and <br />Transportation will shortly allocate the priority for highway <br />construction funds for the fiscal year 1975-76; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the construction of the proposed West <br />Norfolk Bridge is necessary for public safety. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia that the Council requests <br />the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation to <br />place the construction of the proposed West Norfolk Bridge <br />as the number one priority in the allocation of highway <br />construction funds for fiscal year 1975-76. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tha~ the City Clerk is dir- <br />ected to forward this resolution to the proper authorities. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held April 8, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste : <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
