lll A_ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~4ANAGER TO COI~VEY CITY O~ED PROPERTY TO PORTSMOUTH RHDEVELOP~-IENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth purchased certain property from Samuel J. Russo in connection with the construct- ion and maintaining of the Gander Creek Project; and ~K~EP~AS, all of the surrounding property is owned, or will be owned by Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority as property to be used in the Southside I Redevelop- ment Project; and WHEREAS, said parcel of property is not needed by the City of Portsmouth; and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virgmnia. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, ' b authorized to convey the following described and he here y is, property to Portsmout~ Redevelopment and Housing Authority: All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth; Virginia, more particularly described as follows: Beginnin~ at a point on the eastern right of way of Washington Street, said point being NO3O33'30'' West 116.00 feet from the northeast intersection of Washington Street and Scott Street; thence continuing north O3°33'30'' West 29.00 feet to a point; thence N86°26'30'' East 120 feet to a point; thence SO3°33'30'' East 29.00 feet to a point; thence S86°26'30" West 120 feet to a point on the eastern margin of Washington Street, the point of beginning. HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to complete all transactions and execute all documents incident to such conveyances.
