96 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEIVERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF RACE <br />STREET WHICti LIES ~EST OF POI~HATAN AVENUE, EXTENDING TO ITS <br />END IN BAINES CREEK. <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, Warren tIolland, Sr., Helen D. Brandon and <br />Norman S. Jenkins, et ux have made application to vacate and <br />close the hereinafter described portion of a certain street, <br />and it appearing that the notice of the application and re- <br />quest for appointment of viewers was duly posted August 12, <br />1975, on the bulletin board Of the Circuit Court of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, the bulletin board of the Municipal <br />Court, Civil Division of the City of Portsmouth and the bulletin <br />board of the Council Chambers of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoty, Raymond <br />Tweed, Louis J. Leitner, Zalmon I. B!achman and James L. Choate <br />be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion <br />of such street and to report to this Council in writing whether <br />in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would re- <br />sult in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> All of the street known as Race Street which <br />lies west of Powhatan Avenue, extending to its end <br />in Baines Creek, as shown on City Tax Plate 322. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Por~tsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held September 9, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
