A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF FAIRFAX <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br /> W~REAS, Thomas Harretl and Rober~ E. ~[atson, Jr. <br />have made application to vacate and close the hereinafter <br />described portion of a certain street, and it appearing that <br />the notice of the application and request for appointment of <br />viewers was duly posted August 12, 1975, on the bulletin board <br />of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and at two <br />other public places within the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bi!isoly~ Raymond <br />Tweed, Louis J. Leitner, Zalmon i. Btachman and James L. Choate <br />be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion <br />of such streev and to repor~ to this Council in writing whether <br />in their opinion~ any, and if any, what inconvenience would <br />result in vacatin~ and closing the following: <br /> <br /> Beginnin~ at the southwestern corner of Oak <br />Streev and a twenty-foot (20') lane designated as <br />Fairfax Avenue and thence running in a southwesterly <br />direction one hundred twenty and forty-two hundredths <br />(120.42) feet parallel to Fairfax Avenue along the <br />northern boundaries of Lots 2~ and 26 of ~B!ock A'~ <br />subdivision of Fairfax~ thence runnin~ North twenty <br />(20) feet and thence in a northeasterly direction <br />one hundred twenty and fort~-two hundredths (120.42) <br />fee~ parallel to Fairfa× Avenue and thence South <br />twenty (20) feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, a~ a meeting held September 9, ]975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
