A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF WILCOX AVENUE, WEST~ARD FRO~! ITS INTERSECTION WITtl LANSING AVENUE. WHEREAS, Enoch Carrington and Foundation Boys Academy, Inc., have made application to vacate and close the hereinafter described portion of a certain street, and it appearing that the notice of the application and request for appointment of viewers was duly posted January 7, 1976~ on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin board of the Council Chambers of the City of Portsmouth and the bulletin board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Linon Vann, C. E. Ellis~ Frank N. Bilisoly, James V. McGehee and Raymond Tweed be appointed as viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such street and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: All that certain property beginning at the southwest corner of Lansing Avenue and Wilcox Avenue; thence westerly along the southern boundary line of Wilcox Avenue to the property owned by Foundation Boys Academy, Inc.; thence northwesterly along the property line of the property owned by Foundation Boys Academy, Inc. to the northern boundary line of Wilcox Avenue; thence easterly along the northern boundary line of Wilcox Avenue to the northwest intersection of Wilcox Avenue and Lansing Avenue; thence southerly to the point of beginning as shown on City Tax Plate 11t.
