A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY TO THE PORTS- <br />MOUTH PORT AND INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE AREA DESIGNATED AS PORTSMOUTH MJLRINE TEP34INALS, BOU~D- <br />ED BY SOUTHERN AVENUE ON THE SOUTH ~ HILL AVENUE ON THE ~EST ~ PiN- <br />NERS AVENUE ON THE NORTH AND THE PINNERS POINT SEWAGE TREATMENT <br />PLANT PROPERTY ON THE EAST. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns approximately 100 <br /> lots within the area designated as Portsmouth Marine Terminals; <br /> and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> of Portsmouth and is hereby declared to be surplus; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property is highly adaptable for develop- <br /> ment and use as a part of the Terminal facilities in the City of <br /> Portsmouth by the Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Port and Industrial Commission is <br /> a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, there- <br /> by eliminating the necessity for further advertisement of a con- <br /> <br />. ~ NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by ~he C0u~c~l of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Ma~agar be ,~and he <br />hereby is~ auth0rizedto c6hv~y to P6rtsmouth Port and fndus- "~ <br />trial Commission certain City-o~ned property within the area <br />designated as Portsmouth Marine Terminals, bounded by Southern <br />Avenue on the South, Hill Avenue on the West, Pinners Avenue <br />on the North and the Pinners Point Sewage Treatment Plant pro- <br />perty on the East. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and <br /> he hereby is, authorized to complete all transactions and to <br /> execute all documents incident to such conveyance. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held June 8, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
