16 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF AN <br />ALLEY SITUATE IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY WOODROW STREET <br />ON THE NORTH, CHAUTAUQUA AVENUE ON THE EAST, COFE~ERCE <br />STREET ON THE SOUTH, AND BROAD STREET ON THE 'WEST. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Surry Associates have made application <br />to vacate and close the hereinafter described portion of <br />a certain alley, and it appearing that the application <br />and request for the appointment of viewers was duly <br />posted February 6, 1976, on the bulletin board of the <br />Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin <br />board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of <br />the City of Portsmouth and on the bulletin board outside <br />the City Council Chambers of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginiao <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cou/qcil <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Louis J. Leitner~ <br />Zalmon Blachman, John H. Griffin, Frank N. Bilisoly and <br />Vincent Skeeter be appointed as viewers to view the here- <br />inafter described portion of such alley and to report to <br />this Co~%ncil in writing whether in their opinion, any, <br />and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of <br />land, situate in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being that portion of an alley <br />15 feet in width and approximately 100 <br />feet in length; said alley lies to the <br />south of the S.A.C.L. and Southern Rail- <br />road and is situated in the block bounded <br />by Woodrow Street on the north, Chautauqua <br />Avenue on the East~ Commerce Street on the <br />South and Broad Street on the West. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held February 24r 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
