127 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO~ PLAN FOR THE NORTHSIDE REDEVELOPMENT 4 TO THE REDEVELOP~NT PROJECT, NO. 1~ VA. R-39. WHEREAS~ this Council by Resolution adopted August 9~ 1976, approved the redevelopment plan for the Northside Redevelopment Project, krO. 1, Va. R-39, Portsmouth, Virginia, adopted by the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body, for consideration and approval, a copy Qf an amended redevelopment plan for the project area, adopked~ovember 9, 1976~ by the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority, a~d WHEREAS, said Amendment No. 4 has been carefully reviewed by this Council and said redevelopment plans, as amended, conforms to the general plans for development of the City as a whole; and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has resolved that this amendment is in the best interest of the City's renewal efforts; and WHEREAS, in the judgment of this Council, it is in the interest of the City and its inhabitants that said amendment be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Amendment No. 4 to the redevelopment plan for Northside Redevelopment Project, having been duly reviewed and considered, it is hereby found: (a) That the objectives of the Northside Redevelop- ment Project, Portsmoutht Virginia, can be better achieved by adoption of said amendment. (b) That Amendment No. 4 for the project area conforms to the general plan for the City of Portsmouth as a whole. That Amendment No. 4 to the Northside Redevelop- ment Plan for Northside Redevelopment Project, having been duly reviewed and considered is, hereby approved and the said City Clerk is, hereby directed to file a copy of said amendment with the minutes of this meeting.
