120 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BiD OF MARVIN GOLDFARB FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT COLUMBIA AND GREEN STREETS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DEED FOR THE CONVEYANCE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth declared certain hereinafter described property as surplus and authorized the City Manager to receive bids for the purchase thereof; and WHEREAS, Marvin Goldfarb has submitted a bid for the purchase of said property for the sum of $1,000.00; and WHEREAS, said purchase price is considered adequate for the property to be conveyed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the bid of Marvin Goldfarb to purchase the hereinafter described property for the sum of $1,000.00 be, and the same is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute all deeds or other documents to convey the followinq described property to Marvin Goldfarb: Ail that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, with the improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the southwest intersection of Green Street and Columbia Street (formerly Crab Street); thence running South along the western right of way of Green Street 113 feet, more or less, to the line of the property now or former- ly ovrned by John Emmerson; thence running West and parallel with Columbia Street 180 feet to a point; thence running North and parallel with Green Street 113 feet to a point on the southern right of way of Columbia Street; thence East along the southern right of way of Columbia Street 180 feet to the point of beginning.
