A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING <br />STREETS: PARCEL I, A PORTION OF QUEEN STREET, PARCEL It, <br />A PORTION OF HIGH STREET, PARCEL III, A PORTION OF COLUMBIA <br />STREET, PARCEL IV, A PORTION OF SOUTH STREETr PARCEL V, <br />A PORTION OF KING STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, has <br />made application to vacate and close Parcels I, II, III, <br />IV and V, the hereinafter described portions of certain <br />streets, and it appearing that notice of the application <br />and request for appointment of viewers was duly posted <br />September 8, 1976, on the bulletin board of the Circuit <br />Court of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin board of <br />the City Council Chambers of the City of Portsmouth and <br />the bulletin board of the General District Court, Civil <br />Division, o~ the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouthr Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, <br />Raymond Tweed, Vincent Skeeter, Howard L. Davis and <br />Zalmon Blach/nan be appointed as viewers to view the here- <br />inafter described portions of such streets and to report <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, <br />and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />PARCEL I - QUEEN STREET <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeast corner of <br />Water Street and Queen Street; thence east <br />along the north right-of-way line of Queen <br />Street approximately 150 feet to the South- <br />ern Branch of the Elizabeth River; thence <br />south along said river line approximately <br />32 feet to the south right-of-way line of <br />Queen Street; thence west along said right- <br />of-way approximately 130 feet to the east <br />right-of-way line of Water Street; thence <br />north along said right-of-way approximately <br />32 feet to the north right-of-way line of <br />Queen Street, the point of beginning. <br /> <br />PARCEL II - HIGH STREET <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeast corner of <br />Water Street and High Street; thence east <br />along the north right-of-way line of High <br />Street approximately 160 feet to the south- <br />ern branch of the Elizabeth River; thence <br /> <br /> <br />
