A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK <br />TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT BET?~EN THE CiTY AND THE VIRGINIA DEPART- <br />MENT OF HIGHWAYS AND T~ANSPORTATION TO ENABLE THE CITY TO <br />INSTALL A 7 FOOT BY 6 FOOT REINFORCED CONCRETE BOX CULVERT <br />ACROSS HARBOR DRIVE, IM~4EDIATELY SOUTH OF THE LONDON BOULEVARD <br />oVERPASS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is constructing off~site drainage <br />to serve Mr. Hermon Redevelopment Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that the off-site drainage <br />cross under Harbor Drive to reach an outfall; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Highways and <br />Transportation has requested the City to enter into an <br />agreement providing for such construction and making certain <br />assurances. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia that the City Manager and the <br />City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with <br />the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation for <br />the purpose of installing a 7 foot by 6 foot reinforced <br />concrete box culvert across Harbor Drive, a distance of <br />approximately fifty-five (55) feet, inlr~ediately south of <br />the London Boulevard overpass. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, at a meeting held September 14, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
