A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREETS: PARCEL I, A PORTION OF EIGHTH STREET BETWEEN MADISON STREET AND PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARDr PARCEL It, A PORTION OF NI~H STREET BETWEEN I~ADISON AND PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD, PARCEL III, A PORTION OF PORTS_~4OUTH BOULEVARD BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY 130 FEET WEST FROM SEVENTH STREET AND EXTENDING APPROXI~fATELY 115 FEET EAST FROM.GREEN STREET, INVOLVING ONLY THE NORTHERN RIGHT-OF-WAY OF PORTS~OUTH BOULEVARD, HAVING A WIDTH OF 50 FEET t PARCEL IV, A PORTION OF WELSON STREET BETWEEN SIXTH A~D SEVENTH STREET. WTLEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment And Rousing Authority has made application to vacate and close Parcels I, II, III and IV, the hereinafter described portions of certain streets, and it appearing that notice of the application and request for appointment of vmewers was duly posted July 21, 1976, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin board of the City Council Chambers of the City of Portsmouth and the bulletin board of the General District Court, Civil Division~ of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoty, L. A. Clark, C. E. Ellis, Leonard L. Sullivan and Rev. J. R. Wilkerson be appointed as viewers to view the hereinafter described portions of such streets and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacati'ng and closing the following: PARCEL I - Eighth Street Beginning at the southeastern right- of-way of Madison Street and Eighth Street; thence south 242 feet; thence west 60 feet; thence north 242 feet to the south right- of-way line of Madison Street; thence east along said right-of-way 60 feet to the point of origin. PARCEL II Ninth Street Beginning at the southeastern right- of-way of Madison Street and Ninth Street; thence south 242 feet; thence west 60 feet; thence north 242 feet to the south right- of-way line of Madison Street; thence east along said right-of-way 60 feet to the point of origin.
