69 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~4ANAGER TO ACCEPT THE <br />HIGEEST BID FOR THE PURC~ASE OF CITY-Oh~ED PROPERTY AT <br />824-826 COUNTY STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ by resolution adopted July 13, 1976~ <br />the City Manaqer was authorized to advertise the sale of <br />certain surplus City property at 824-826 County Street <br />and to receive bids therefor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Charles Jenkins was the highest bidder <br />for said property in their amount of One Thousand and 00/100 <br />($1000.00) Dollars; and <br /> <br /> WHEREASt said bid is considered an adequate price <br />for the purchase of the property. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, that the City Manager be, <br />and he hereby is, authorized to accept the highest bid for <br />the purchase of City property at 824-826 County Street. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized to execute and deliver to the highest <br />bidder such documents as may be necessary to complete this <br />transaction. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on August 10t 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
